The Young Enterprise (North West) Regional Awards was held on the evening of the 9th May  in Liverpool. Loreto student Abdul attended with his mum and sister and teacher, Dan Stroker

It was a great evening and Abdul got a fantastic reception from  a crowd of around 300 people. He didn’t know he had won the award and his reaction was priceless…the first time Dan has seen him speechless!

The Journey award is for students who have made considerable progress and developed the skills in problem-solving, team work, initiative, organization, financial capability, communication, confidence and resilience. Abdulqadri joined Loreto’s Pathways department and is studying for his Level 1 BTEC General Vocational qualification this year.

WInning the award is a huge achievement for Abdul as students from schools and colleges in Cheshire, Lancashire, Cumbria, Stockport, Salford and Manchester were also nominated.

He is now nominated into the Young Enterprise National Awards with Regional Journey Award winners from all over England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We are all very proud of him and wish him the best of luck!
