Ex-Loreto students Adam Ali and Oliver Vibrans featured prominently in a recent BBC radio 4 adaptation of John Wyndham’s science fiction classic, The Midwich Cuckoos. The two-part production, staged by the innovative and award winning Graeae Theatre Company, remained faithful to the original but attempted to bring a new sensitivity to the iconic novel by grappling with the complexity of difference. Actor Adam Ali developed his acting skills at Loreto, where he studied BTEC Performing Arts and appeared in a number of college productions, whilst composer Oliver Vibrans, who wrote the original score for the production, was actively composing for full scale Loreto College productions.

During his time at Loreto he wrote scores and performed music: ‘Our Country’s Good’, ‘A Servant to Two Masters’ and ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’. Oliver went on to study music at Cambridge University, and is involved in an ever-increasing number of music and drama based projects.
