Our 3rd year students have now started their second rotation for their supported internships with Pure Innovations.

One of our students is working for One Manchester, Manchester’s largest housing association. She has been busy checking and updating client details and has received excellent feedback so far. By paying attention to detail and using her problem solving skills she has ensured that client details are complete and correct.

Another student is working at Dee Dee’s Café in Eccles. During this placement she has become an independent traveller taking one bus from home to Piccadilly Gardens, and a second bus from Piccadilly Gardens to Eccles. At work she clears tables, sweeps up, fills and empties the dishwasher, sets drinks out in the fridge, and does food preparation for customers. This is her favourite placement so far.

A third student is working at Smart Works Greater Manchester which is based in Stockport. Smart Works support women from every borough of Greater Manchester by providing the clothes and confidence they need for job success. Our student has been sorting out donated clothes, laundering and ironing them, and putting them in size order.
