The Media & Film department are very pleased to announce that THREE loreto students were accepted and have now completed the BFI Academy course. Nadia Abbas, Maeve McGovern, and Olivia Supiana were selected for only 18 delegates to complete a film course which concluded with a screening of their very own film produced on the course and a celebration event at HOME on Monday evening. Attending on behalf of the department, I heard from the BFI Academy mentors how beyond impressed they were with our students. They have had access to industry professionals and created an exceptional short film that will now be entered into various film festivals. They will now have further exclusive opportunities offered to them, with previous BFI Academy alumni working on Hollywood films such as Star Wars!
