Upper and lower sixth Chemistry students gave a warm welcome to ex-Loreto student Nasir Ahmad, who had been invited back to college to deliver a presentation on studying Chemistry at degree level. Nasir, who is studying at Manchester University, gave students an excellent insight into life as university chemist. He was able to describe the academic nature of his studies, to say something about the science involved, and of course to touch on life as a student generally. Our students responded well to being addressed by ‘one of our own’ and were keen to ask questions. Dr Balfour commented:

“Nasir gave a fantastic talk about his experiences so far at university. There were lots of questions from students asking about his day-to-day life and what he studied.”
