Last month Loreto photography students made a trip to Derby for the eleventh edition of FORMAT International Photography Festival.

This was the first time that the festival was held in the city of Derby, following an online hiatus during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The festival featured international artists and photographers selected from the FORMAT23 OPEN Call; newly commissioned works; and an exciting workshops programme. Whilst attending the festival our students were invited to celebrate, discover and question ‘What Photography Can Be’.

It was great fun, and we can’t wait for next years!
