Jazz Band has the classic line-up of Saxophones, Trumpets and Trombones, with a rhythm section of piano, guitar, bass and drums. Jazz Band learn both via reading traditional notated parts and by learning a few numbers by ear and performing from memory.
About Jazz Band
They meet to rehearse after college on Mondays in our large music studio. If improvisation is your thing, there will be space in the arrangements for you to release your creative side too. Jazz Band perform at high profile events throughout the year, such as Prizegiving, the RNCM concert and the Band on the Wall gig.
