Snoop Dogg, Smokey Robinson, Justin Timberlake…just a sample of the diverse range of clients that recording studio owner and sound engineer Ian Stewart has worked with during a long and fascinating career in the music business. Recently a mix of AS Music Tech and Record Label enrichment students went for a tour and workshop held at BluePrint recording studios. The tour was led by Ian, who, as well as showing the students around the facilities, gave demonstrations on room acoustics, recording drums and electric guitar, and a walkthrough of a mix he is currently working on for a local rock band.

Ian then answered a wealth of questions from the students about a broad range of topics including, of course, his dealings with numerous international stars.
