Over the past year eight students in the Media/Film department have been involved in a mentoring project called ‘We Call The Shots.’ The programme was created for young women who aspire to a career in the media. The students have written blog articles about the challenges faced by women in the media industry and have made films about women they deem to be inspirational. Their work can be found here:
The eight students on this programme have worked incredibly hard and before the Easter holidays they put on an event where they showcased their own films and screened the ‘Girl Rising’ documentary. They raised over £300 for the Girl Rising charity!
