17 Loreto students have secured places to study at Oxford and Cambridge University from September after successfully meeting their very demanding offers for a place at one of these prestigious institutions.
The successful students came to Loreto Sixth Form College from a range of high schools in Manchester, Salford, Stockport and Oldham.
Year on year, Loreto graduates go head to head with thousands of applicants from all over the globe and succeed. This achievement is no easy feat, it requires an extensive amount of work and commitment from students as well as support from Loreto staff.Students with ” Oxbridge ” potential at Loreto are offered a bespoke programme designed to develop each student`s debating and thinking skills by an in-house team of specialist teachers who have decades of experience preparing students for their December Entrance Examinations and intensive selection interviews. Academic staff from both Universities regularly visit Loreto to deliver subject specific classes and application seminars.

Rosa Haworth (A*A*A*) from Chorlton High School will read English Language and Literature
Greta Simpson (AAA) from Kingsway High School will study Spanish and Arabic
Rebecca Price (A*A*AA) from Failsworth High will be studying Biochemistry (Molecular and Cellular)
Ashley Broadhurst (A*A*A) who was at Wright Robinson will be reading History and English
Sara Beitlafteh (A*AAA) from Salford City Academy will study Engineering
University of Cambridge:
Nathan Meades (A*A*A*A*) Former Priestnall student will be reading History
Freddie Jensen (A*A*A*A*A) who joined Loreto from Kingsway High School will study Mathematics
Georgina Gledhill (A*A*A*A) who was at Fairfield High School and Haneen Zeglam (A*A*A*A*) from Manchester Islamic High School for Girls will be studying Human, Political and Social Sciences
Ellis Birch (A*A*A*) from Salford City Academy will be studying Chemical Engineering via Natural Sciences
Kara Mohammed (A*A*A*A*) who came to Loreto from Wright Robinson will be studying Medicine
