Manchester Grammar started the game off, the first five minutes was back and forth between the two sides. Loreto then took control, keeping possession which lead on to a great ball over the defence to give centre forward, Shaq, a one-on-one chance which was calmly finished. Shortly after, Loreto’s high press caused a mistake as Osama, Loreto’s striker, tackled the centre back and slotted the ball into the back of the net: 2-0 Loreto. The third goal was also claimed by Shaq to put Loreto further ahead and a fourth came from winger, Siyam, to finish off the first half.
The second half was more end to end play with both teams losing possession easily. Manchester Grammar broke through on goal due to a lack of concentration in Loreto’s defence and they narrowed the deficit to 4-1. An instant impact from Loreto’s substitute, Jesse, added to the lead which put the final score at 5-1.
Man of the Match went to Shaq.
