At the end of the term, staff and students headed to Savio House in Bollington for the annual Student Retreat. The student retreat offers a great opportunity to take some time out from our busy lives, a chance to explore and think about those things which are most important: take some time for faith. We were incredibly lucky with the weather so we were able to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside, enjoyed time reflecting and relaxing and a great time was had by all!

Sarah Shodunke writes: “The student retreat was definitely an amazing experience, and I would encourage as many students as possible to participate next year. It’s a great way to make new friends and become closer with people. It’s not only for Christians; it’s suitable for people of all religions and for non-religious people too. There were exciting activities throughout the day and opportunities to explore around Savio. We were able to venture into the town, Bollington, and discovered unique hidden places. As for the reflection, I felt as if it helped us all develop and grow more, spiritually, emotionally and physically. It was definitely a chance to experience something different and get away from our busy lives in Manchester.”
