It has been another successful year for Duke of Edinburgh Gold students at Loreto. Twenty-two upper sixth students have successfully completed their Final Expedition in the Lake District. Camping for three nights and walking for four days, the students had brilliant weather and team spirit. External assessor Mr McGurk praised the students not only on their fantastic navigational skills but also their positivity and team effort. Everyone started the weekend smiling but went home laughing: a wonderful experience for both staff and students involved.

Loreto is one of the premier centres of student participation and the biggest sixth form provider for DofE in Greater Manchester. We currently have over 160 students working towards Gold and Silver awards this year.
